The main tasks of this project are hosting the “2017 National Sustainable Development Awards” and its ceremony, support for relevant meetings and affairs of National Council for Sustainable Development, publishing the report of “The Evaluation Results of Sustainable Development Indicators for 2016”, translating into English and publishing the report of “The Evaluation Results of Sustainable Development Indicators for 2015”, and the regular maintenance and information updates of the website of “National Council for Sustainable Development Network (Direct Link: https://nsdn.epa.gov.tw/)”. The 2017 National Sustainable Development Award campaign was a 3-stage process: preliminary document review, field visits; and assessments by the Committee. In October, the 11 winners of 4 categories were recognized, and the award ceremony was held at the Executive Yuan on December 25th. The draft report of “The Evaluation Results of Sustainable Development Indicators for 2016” and the English version of “The Evaluation Results of Sustainable Development Indicators for 2015” were edited. After monthly maintenance, 18 information updates, and the 114 news releasing, the website of “National Council for Sustainable Development Network” was in proper operation in 2017. In support of this project, 36 meetings, including the Committee’s meetings, working group meetings, and workshops of SDGs were completed. Efforts under this project promote the value and deeper understanding of sustainable development. These results will also be recognized as the fruits of sustainable development in Taiwan.
